Apple blocks Epic Games unreal engine from iOS and Mac after Fortnite

As earlier, both Apple and Google removed Fortnite from their app stores. It happened after Epic introduced its own in-game payment system that allowed the sport developer to bypass a 30% fee.

However, the Epic Games struck back at Apple and Google by filing a lawsuit against the tech giants. However, now Apple has decided to form things even worse for Epic. That’s because the corporate is additionally blocking Unreal Engine on its platforms by August 28.

If this happens, then Epic Games won’t be ready to develop tools for iOS and Mac. As per the Epic, Apple’s commitment to restrict Epic’s access to development tools is an “outrageous retaliation.” That’s because Apple never mentioned Unreal Engine violating any policy.

Although, Epic says that Apple’s decision to dam the Unreal Engine on iOS and Mac will drastically impact Epic’s business. It’s obvious that true will force the developers to leap on other game development tools. So, Epic Games filed for a restraining order and long-term preliminary injection to stop Apple from blocking Unreal Engine. “Preliminary injunctive relief is important to stop Apple from crushing Epic before this case could ever get to judgment,” says Epic within the papers.

Apple’s Statement On true

Moreover, an Apple spokesperson also came forward to relinquish a press release on true. Inline with Apple, it’s no personal grudge against Epic, and it wants to stay the company “as a part of the Apple Developer Program and their apps on the store.” However, the Epic’s apps do not adhere to the guidelines of Apple, which acts as a safety guard to the customers” said the representative of Apple.

However, with regard to Apple, Epic can easily get out of this case that the sport developer “has created for itself.” Apple just wants Epic to release an update for its app, which results in reverting it to the accommodation of rules, which would be further applicable.
